Couple Corrections:
ReplyDeleteBlock 1: 17-A
Block 3: 14-E 34-C
Block 4: 7-A 39-D
Can anyone explain the answer to #16 in block 4?
ReplyDeleteBlock 2: 37 is not A. I chose that (Acute Stress Disorder) and it was marked as incorrect. I believe the answer they were looking for was E: Social Phobia.
ReplyDeleteBlock 4, #16 - about confidence intervals:
ReplyDeletethe confidence interval lower range is x-z(s/sqrtN)
upper range is x+z(s/sqrtN)
(sorry for the bad notation, look up the formula in FA if it's confusing or you don't remember)
in a 95% confidence interval, the value of z = 1.96. in a 99% confidence interval, the value increases to z = 2.56. so around the mean, x, you would be adding a larger number for the upper limit, and subtracting a larger number for the lower limit. Overall, the difference between the upper and lower numbers for the confidence interval would be greater, so "size is larger" is choice A
